How To Get Rid Of Night Terrors In Children

How To Get Rid Of Night Terrors In Children

It Will Give Children And Parents Peace Of Mind And A Proper Sleep

Night terrors are different from nightmares. These are experienced by children between 4 and 12 years old and consist of intense terror and crying episodes, and the helplessness to wake up. These disorders have the same category as sleepwalking. One common myth is that is dangerous to wake up a child in the middle of an episode. These episodes occur between stage three and stage four of non-REM sleep, about 90 minutes from falling asleep. One way to avoid them is interrupting the first sleep cycle before the episode even occurs, which is about 75 minutes after falling asleep. This was reported to be successful in 90% of the cases.
